Hell no! I'd be done with Apple if they changed their logo to that. Even though he was a great salesman, he was a jerk. Enough with Steve Jobs already!! He's dead and never coming back. Life goes on!!!!

No way they should (or would) change their logo to that. And while I don't buy products based on the logo, changing a logo to incorporate a dead CEO might make me not buy a product... on the grounds that common sense has vacated the board room.

Steve Jobs always said that his employees should not ask what he would have or would not have done. In this case they should make an exception and they would say "hell no". Apple does not want to lionize Steve Jobs. They have enough trouble with pundants, analysts and bloggers doing that already.

This is the last thing that Steve Jobs or anyone at Apple would want to do. If they want to memorialize him, they have better and more appropriate ways of doing it and that doesn't involve changing their logo.

I think the Minimal Mac logo would look really good on Apple Products if you ask me.

Take a look at how Apple logos are actually used. It's impractical to ad such fine detail from a production standpoint,

and oh yeah, it's not good design either.

It would be in poor taste. Something that Laurene would not let go forward.

There are many different ways to celebrate someone's life, but this isn't one of them. Apple's tribute on their website last year was a perfect example of doing it the right way.

I don't like that either.:p

I like it. I think it would be cool to see a super ultramodern computer (Think Chromebook Pixel design meets Retina MacBook Pro design, with a little Dell Adamo thrown in there), with a bright glowing leaf like that.

But that's just me.

Or we could just, you know, NOT change a globally recognized logo just for the sake of change. How bout that idea?

...uh. Yup. I do. I was totally kidding with my post above. You know. Just playing along with the satire is all.

Ok, better than me I thought at first it was true. Same with the Onion. ;)

I still think they, especailly the Onion are better than most news channels-see below:

There are a lot more people who contribute to Apple's past and future success other than Steve Jobs. Don't like this one bit.

I prefer they go back to 1 or 2 than that piece of apple you put in the OP.
