After installing iOS 10 public beta and I am starting to already question Apple's motives to move to extra bold fonts in particular the unlock screen clock and Apple Music app.
Given initially people were complaining about the extra thin font used in iOS 7 Beta 1, it was more because back then we didn't have the high DPI iPhone 6/6s Plus? But now with them, the devices are definitely capable of displaying those extra thin fonts with no problems.
I really think it's time Apple let users choose whether they would like to use Extra Thin / Normal (iOS 10 default) / Extra bold given all the customizations you can already do today.
What do you think?
