Does anyone else have their MacBook Air shipping via FedEx? I have a shipment notification but the package has been in Shanghai since yesterday morning with no movement. And why FedEx when everyone else is UPS? Odd. Shipping to Charlottesville, VA.

Hi iPhone friend! My 16gb Mac Mini is in HK with delivery set for Tuesday, Launch day. It's quite an Apple week here, launch day iPhone 12 Pro Max and then a Launch day M1 Mac!🙂🙂

My MBA is in the exact situation as yours. Tuesday scheduled delivery for Vancouver, BC Canada.
I ordered 2 MacBook Airs. One a “base” and one a “custom” model. The “base” is shipping UPS and the “custom” is shipping FedEx. The base model is arriving Tuesday (UPS says tomorrow, but I’m sure Apple will put a hold on it). The custom model has an 11/24-11/27 window but I have a tracking Number (it’s still listed in Shanghai). FedEx has a “pending” delivery date, but it lists 11/20 as their best estimate based on the shipping service selected.
Mine just switched to preparing to ship this morning. How long does it typically take for them to ship it after it switches to that?

Ordered with a QWERTY-International keyboard in Germany, arriving November 23-25.
I'm assuming it takes longer because it has to be shipped extra and isn't part of the stock they already have in Germany.
My MBA (8 core, 16g, 512g) is shipping to Charlottesville as well, but via UPS. Departed from Shanghai but the delivery date is unknown yet. Apple website said arrival by Nov 19.

My Mac mini (16GB, 1TB) just went to ”preparing for shipment.” How do people find tracking numbers on UPS/FedEx once it hits this stage? My ETA was November 24-27

Thank you. Already tried that, but in Germany a letter is sent out to that address to protect privacy. Takes 3-6 business days. Does anyone know if the reference number search bring up other packages as well?

this is very cryptic. UPS has the ability to deliver it tomorrow (for those who have ETA tomorrow), but generally its Apple who sets the restriction. So UPS holds it. Agent is slowly shrugging off responsibility from Apple to UPS, probably doesn't know since its an internal thing.
MBA 256/16SG changed from delivery tomorrow to "In Transit", anyone have any insight? I really wanted to have my laptop for this week ):

Yes it can bring up other packages. Enter your country and post code along with you order number and see if it is still there. If it’s not, it’s not your order!

Oh you could try to reach out to UPS support on Twitter, they'd be able to give you a tracking ID.

I've resigned myself to the fact that UK people can't use the Web Order number or phone number as reference in UPS, or see anything at all until Apple says it's "Shipped" which will likely be when it leaves a UK depot, so for me probably Tuesday if it's coming Wednesday 🙁
Takes all the fun out of it and I wish Apple would let UK people have the fun of tracking it all the way even if it takes days.

I almost had mine rerouted to my work for the same reason but I was afraid tampering with the delivery might only cause a delay.
if you trust your neighborhood you can waive/digitally sign for it on ups.com and they will leave it.

Go to this UPS Flex Global View page and choose "Track by Package Reference Number". Then use your phone number for "Reference Number". At the next page, if you click on the tracking number you'll be able to see all the details and movements within UPS network.
