Shanghai Gang update: looks like FDX9811 has taken off from Shanghai for Alaska, albeit very late. A good sign that operations are slowly returning to normal.
Where's UPS then? 😡
Last time I ordered iPhone during pandemic, Apple shipped via FedEx, and it arrived on time.

Good news and bad news.

Good news is that UPS finally updated tracking.
The bad news: it updates to tell you the package is delayed.

Global Times just tweeted: "Only about 22 of the planned 900 flights at Shanghai’s Pudong airport, where a FedEx and a UPS staff member were found to be infected with #COVID19, were canceled as of 8 pm on Monday, which shows that operations at airport are generally stable and normal, staff member told GT."

Finally on truck for delivery! I think I just missed the **** show happening in Shanghai - here's hoping that everything starts moving again soon and that everyone over there stays safe 🙂
MBA 16GB / 512GB

I saw last night that my local Apple store had the MBP 16GB/1TB version in stock. So I canceled my order which had a Nov 23- Dec 7 date, and will pick it up today. Now if I can get that Mac Mini to ship, all will be right in the world.

I ordered on 11/15, the MBP 16GB/512.

Apple Charged my card finally today at 5am EST. No shipping notice, nothing on ups.

What should I expect?

Any chance I get it by the end of next week?

Congrats to all getting theirs now

Oh my - can't believe COVID can cause a huge disruption to flights.

If only 20% of the flights can leave Shanghai, that means a lot of disappointed customers worldwide!

I am sure glad I got my M1 Mini from Apple's California warehouse instead of China.....

Ugh... I hope they’re not making/shipping them in order based on storage size.. I’ll never get mine! 🤣

I'm sorry, I think you misunderstood the statistic. Only 22 out of 900 flights were cancelled. The other 878 flights were able to leave. Also, 22 out of 900 means only 2.4% of flights were disrupted.

I bet that is it. I see you ordered the 2TB. I noticed when I configed mine storage changes the dates. I wanted 16GB memory and was not as worried on storage so just went with 512.

I noticed this when ordering, too. Big bummer but I needed to replace my current laptop with similar specs, so I had to go 16GB/2TB on the MBP. I sure will be happy when I get it, though! The OWC Thunderbolt 2 Dock I use with my current 2015MBP is starting to fail, a couple USB ports and the Audio Out stopped working..

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Ordered mine on the 17th and is still processing. If it was anything but the base model MBA, I could see it taking this long to process. But it isn't, and it is.

I guess we'll see how accurate that Nov 25 delivery date is. 🙃

Looks like mostly a return to normal operations for FedEx at PVG. The previous flights took off delayed, but were able to make it to Anchorage just fine. In fact, FDX9811 just landed 10 minutes ago. FDX28 is "Delayed" because the scheduled departure time was pushed back by 2 hours, and it's expected to depart in ~20 minutes.

I really wish our packages were on FedEx. UPS hasn't even scheduled any flights out of PVG yet. I don't know whether that's because of UPS, or if testing took longer at the UPS facility/there were more positive cases.
