Hey there - for the past few phone generations, I've used this 3rd party silicone case, and I love it. I love the fit, I love how grippy it is, and I love that I don't need to worry about it getting wet, since it's just pure silicone. I want a magsafe compatible case for this next generation, and I'm not opposed to just getting the Apple silicone case... However, i'm concerned about the microfiber lining on the inside... it's not good to get that wet, right? It's the reason I stopped getting leather cases... once the phone became water proof, and I didn't want to worry about it getting splashed near the shower or at a pool, I didn't want to worry about the case either. Curious to hear perspective from any others who have this case and how well it holds up to being dropped in the water. Thanks!

I've been washing my Apple silicone cases with soap and water once in a while for years. No problems whatsoever.
That's great to know. thanks! We go to a lake in the summer time where it's like 110 degrees. When it gets hot, I just toss my phone in the lake for a couple minutes to cool it off so it doesn't overheat... I just wanted to make sure that an Apple silicone case wouldn't prevent me from doing that!

I would worry more about dirt geting inside the case. Unless we're talking about some crystal clear Swiss lake.

If you wash the case afterwards to remove sand and dirt, I guess it'll be fine.
