Any idea how long the site has been down for, and when it will be back?

It's rumored that it may be back around 10:00am PST in conjunction with Intel's press conference, in which they will announce the thunderbolt technology which is incorporated into the new MacBook pros; of which we're all anxiously awaiting...

This is what kinda has me confused. If Apple is waiting for Intel to announce Thunderbolt, why shut the store down way early in the morning (5:30ish AM EST)?

That means it will be down all day in the UK. That seems like poor business practice, especially during the school holidays here, as its 4.5 hour from now.
