Apple's order page says I can't edit (or cancel) my order till after it is listed as processing. Does anyone know if I would be able to edit my order to change from Jet Black to Matte Black? Or would I have to cancel? Worried cancelling is going to cause all kinds of trouble when i go to place a new order and apple's FAQs aren't clear on what exactly you can edit.

You would have to cancel and reorder. They don't have a way to just change the color x choice.

I was afraid of that, hopefully things don't get screwed up when I try to do the iPhone upgrade program a second time...

"Now I have your order pulled up and I’m afraid we would not be able to change the color at this point. You have two options though from here. You can either cancel this order and place a new one but I’m sure you already know that doing so can affect or delay your delivery date. Alternatively, you can wait to receive the iPhone and possibly try exchanging it at a nearby Apple Retail Store."

"I don't mind cancelling and re-order my concern is going through another credit check w/ citizens bank"

"Ah yeah, that is right. You would basically have to go through that process all over again. I’m so sorry."
