Why is Apple snubbing the 11 just like its predecessor the XR when it comes to accessories?

At least they have something this time, whereas they had no cases for the XR upon release. But they only have a clear and silicone case (in just black and white), where as the Pro and Pro Max have more silicone colors and leather cases in many colors....

Why do they want to limit accessories for what will clearly be their bigger seller?

I don't get this either, especially since this is now positioned as the phone for everyone but "pros." Why not let iPhone 11 users accessorize and reap the profits?

I think because they don't consider this model as premium as the other two 'Pro' models, therefore not making premium cases like the leather ones for example. Classic Apple.

It’s just weird because they made leather cases for the base models for a while. Seems like an easy missed opportunity for more sales. Nobody is going to go Pro over the 11 just because of Apple case options, they’ll just buy one elsewhere.

It is weird as I’m sure Apple would sell loads. Although as far as leather goes I’ve found a solution that’s as good, in some ways better, than Apple’s leather iPhone cases. And at a better price too.

I have yet to see an XR in the wild that didn't have a clear case on it. They are clearly hedging their bets that clear cases will be the hot buy again.

In my experience it’s the exact opposite. Most of the XR’s (the vast majority) that I see in the wild do NOT have clear cases. And I have a leather case, my wife has a coloured silicon case and my sister in-law has a plastic coloured case. As for my auntie...

All these “I’ve yet to see”; “hardly ever see”; “I don’t often see”; “all my friends have” etc are completely meaningless and don't prove anything.

I never said they did, but the point stands, Apple is obviously hedging their bets. And they have information to make these decisions that we the public do not. I'm sure Apple would love to sell bundles of different cases to willing consumers, but it appears they are holding back for an obvious reason.

Of course, but I'm allowed to say that they made made a mistake. Everyone, Apple, even Steve Jobs can and do make mistakes.

I find it odd too they’re offering silicone cases this year but only black and white so far

Scratched my Head on that one

Where can I find these Apple cases? Are they reasonably priced? I guess I always figured that Apple cases would be sold at a premium like their memory lol

Similar with the iPad Pro. If you want the 12.9" then you get grey or white apple case. If you want the keyboard. Grey is it.
This for all 3 generations of the iPad Pro.

Now the smaller pro got colored case options, just not the largest.
