Not for me. Dropbox with Touch ID is so much more convenient. Try it and forget this issue.

Your idea is good. But what is with others user worldwide? E.g countries the have no unlimited LTE or big data plans.

Do u really need to access the photos everyday? Find a good wifi signal- upload them all- only view or download when u need. Otherwise they are safe in the cloud until u do.
