I guess 60's and 70's comedian Phyllis Diller was more fashion forward than anyone could have known.

Give me style over fashion. I'll have what she's having:

That's not even the best example of one of Coco Chanel's timeless looks.

I don't think the Apple Watch is quite there yet. But Jony can streamline the look a bit more so that it can attain elegance with the right accessories. Generation 2 or 3 could attain high style.

But I do think the current Apple Watch has already attained a certain level of fashion. It has a versatile look depending on the band and face you choose for it.

It may sound strange, but these fashion galas are all about symbolism. The theme of the "moth", "butterfly" and others are carefully laid out in order to be some kind of inside-joke for satanists and other elitist groups.
If you don't see the symbolism, you might ask yourself why people would even wear that. In the end though, it's just like another mainstream music video with baphomet symbolism, hand-over-eye, chessboard-floor, black-and-white, butterflies and so on.

If you think this is ********, read up the meanings of those things. It's scary.
It doesn't sound strange to me. I'm quite familiar with what you're talking about. As a parent and aunt, while screening movies, videos and music and cartoons for the children some really strange and inexplicable recurring elements in all of these forms of entertainment came to my attention. I was quite puzzled and mystified and eventually through curiosity and discussion with other parents came to discover the elements in society that you're referring to. It was a very "Matrix" moment where you awaken to something and you kind of wish you'd chosen the other pill. Especially when you walk into certain government buildings and look around and all the odd design choices only make sense when viewed through that lens.

So it is a bit creepy to see the confluence of "that element" and a device that your wear most of the day and which feeds you a constant stream of information while gleaning information about you. :eek:o_O

Yes, I think the Apple Watch is a VERY 1.0 product at this point (both style and functionality). Think original iPad or iPhone compared to what we have now. While I sometimes think Apple is way over-obsessed with 'thin' products (some are now too thin), the Watch has quite a ways to go.
