Bloody oath, mate! Aussie Rules is an absolute cracker. fast, hard, chaotic, and every game can go tits up in about three seconds flat. Finals footy in a couple of weeks too. Doesn’t get much better than that.
Very unlikely that anyone would preclude this as there would be big consequences for something so few people use. The fact ISL is included makes me think this is just Apple requesting the schedule in a format they accept and many leagues refusing to do this.
LOL!! I just started watching on FS 1 and 2 this year. My Alma mater, The University of Florida has an Aussie player on the team, Alex Condon (from Perth) who was raving about Footy and got my interest peaked. So I try to watch what I can. The time difference kills my sleep patterns for the weekend, but it's worth it. I don't understand all the rules but I think I have a grasp on the majority. The one that confuses me is how possession is awarded when a player is tackled with the ball, I mean the footy. Also, there seem to be a lot of blowouts. Not much parity in the league, I mean competition, I guess. I'm curious to see if that happens in the finals competition. Your Cats are solidly in the Finals. Congrats! But can anyone take down Freemantle?
And a Third vote for AFL - although I now use ScoreCheck app for AFL so I can get score updates on AppleCarPlay.
The player with the ball has an amount of time with the ball, and if tackled, without disposing (passing it) the footy legally, and having had prior opportunity (time to do so) is penalised for ‘holding the ball’.
Cats are in the top 6, so they have to win each game they play. The format this year is different. Top 4 get the usual 2nd chance, and home advantage for first two games. 5 & 6 get a week off and progress to a playoff against the winners of 7 vs 10, 8 vs 9. However it’s not unusual for a week off to backfire, if the other team are hitting form.
