That's cool. I'm just surprised that a large company wouldn't have already had an Exchange server in the first place. Weird to be sending out emails ending at @me.com (or @mac.com) vs. @verylargeandbigtimelawfirm.com.

I agree. One of the most well-known firms whom my brother-in-law works for just ordered about 10 3G iPhones and issued the .me accounts to all lawyers but they also kept their @thelawfirm emails

Maybe Apple will use this as a way to market time machine, saying we all wouldn't have lost those 10% of emails if we had time machine backups? Ohhhh the irony....

You; are just wrong.
Nobody outside this small community of computer zealots cares. Or even knows.
You have lost perspective.

Anyone who is not going to get Mobile me or the iPhone due to a small percentage of user issues during transition is a loser.

Loser?!!! You son are the loser for yelling at someone because Apple lost their email and went 5 days without email. In my book you are the over the top mad "fanboy" that is giving Apple a pass for a screw up.

No....

No, because those that lost emails were using IMAP or online-only storage anyway, which wouldn't have been backed up.

And it's NOT ironic. Go look up the definition of irony.

Okay, but all my gmail and me IMAP emails are still backed up by my time machine drive once they're downloaded into Mail.

The irony is that they would tell users to backup their emails while they, as a large corporate email provider, should have their own backups.

K thanks.

yeah...

Wouldn't this be something more along the lines of hypocrisy? Expecting something from another that you don't expect from yourself?
