PayBright are the most pathetic excuse for FinTech company and any online payment company I’ve ever seen! About 19 hours later the system is still not allowing me to follow through with the purchase getting stuck at the point I’m suppose to enter the online banking log in PIN received via text! The whole field for entering the PIN is missing from the page!
This experience has made me spend about 4 hours of my time getting 3 of my 4 orders canceled by their buggy system.

I don’t know if you can feel the frustration. All of the 128GB models were sold out from store pickup and pushed by one month for delivery. All 256GB also, until later on the system offered one available likely due to another poor soul getting his order canceled! And I woke up before the preorders started to make sure I’m able to place mine on time.
Almost as if the exec responsible for preparations of their system tasked his 14 year old nephew to take a seat at his chair and throw random orders at people instead.
Who would have guessed iPhone preorders come in insane numbers really fast!!!

wow wow wow

It’s not like they are using on-prem servers, if only there was something like k8s where you could both scale up for an anticipated surge and continue to adjust based on volume throughout the day…
Then don’t accept the whole deal and say no, can’t be done, not worth our time and efforts! And let Apple simply NOT OFFER this option leaving it to straight up purchase as always!

I've been trying to pay via financing for several hours this morning... still no luck. Fun.
No matter what you do, never go back!!! You do it and your order gets canceled!!! I’ve had 3 cancelled on me today, still hanging onto 2 of them for the two devices I need, waiting to learn from Apple due payment expired and order not placed!

My SO tried to order one with Paybright and had it blocked for “security reasons”. She emailed them to try and get it sorted… She figured that was the end of her spot in line so just bought one outright.

They actually replied quite quickly! And they held her delivery date (and said they would do so for 60 hours)! We were worried it would have slipped way into November, but nope, still next Friday! Canceled her other one.

Long overdue! But waiting to see what the big carriers offer for deals. But it may be worth it to finance with Apple.

Not liking news of issues already with ordering though.

My wife and I both ordered using Paybright. We tried in the morning and had an issue, so we just waited until later in the day instead of trying over and over.

Both of use were able to order without any issues. There were a couple spots where it said “wait time could be up to 60 seconds”, but each step was done in about 20 seconds. The website redirected us back to the Apple Store App where the payment was “verified” and we got our delivery estimates.

The only downside is we have to wait until October for our phones because we didn’t order first thing on Friday.

My prediction was right, however. I said a LOT of people were going to take advantage of this offer since it’s 0% interest.

I wouldn’t be too hard on Paybright. Even Apple themselves, after years of doing this, still sometimes have issues with people ordering. Look at the upgrade program as a perfect example.
