Didn't see this brought up anywhere on MR. Hmm.

Did I just miss it?

I don't recall seeing this in the press but I don't understand how they have all these examples from iOS 14 but yet don't have any info on iOS 16. Kinda suspect because if this was the case and if this still is the case, it would've been all over the press.
 
Slashdot is running with it now. Apple being sued.

Currently unable to decrypt the packets being sent on iOS16. However they state the same amount of data is being sent to the same place at the same times
 
Nothing new here… telemetry is in Windows for years. Click and user behavior is present in many sites.

Behavior tracking and understanding was even a next layer of authentication in my bank. Obviously I have never turned it on, and stays disabled…

It’s their soft and marketplace. Most of people go there from links or to check manually for updates / complaints to developers for their ugly apps
