And after that, loose and lose.;)

(I'm glad someone else mentioned "of" instead of "have". I was going to do it, but decided I didn't want the phrase "grammar Nazi" attached to my name.):p:D

Let's not forget "I'm going to try and do that" instead of "I'm going to try TO do that".

Forgot about dividend. Just checked my brokerage accounnt and they convetrted to more APPL shares.

Holy ****
What was the share price at the time you bought them 400?

Next to nothing. I'm still mad at my broker for talking me out of buying more. I had more shares outside of my 401K but used them to pay for my kids' college. Apple has been a good investment.

WHAT

If you bought 400 shares at $1 you should have something like
umm
400 shares x $667 profit per share
$266,800
correct?

**** i messed the **** up... what's the net profit you made out of Apple?

I'm mad at myself for procrastinating my buy-in -- AAPL was around 190 when I made a note to myself to do it, but by the time I jumped through the self-directed hoops with my 401k and was able to buy it was up to 263. Only 128 shares at 263 and 270, plus some others at higher prices. I was a bit hesitant to throw a larger fraction of my 401k at a single stock initially but it just kept getting better and better so I kept going back. I entered a limit order today to sell at 700 -- fingers cross that it goes there tomorrow or Friday. At 700 I will have profited nearly $75k since diving in 5/2010 -- now I need to find something less volatile yet performant to roll that $ into.

Thanks to various factors including MSFT and being in a @$!!@# community property state I will never be able to retire. My 401k is my autistic son's future.
