Always got the user manuals with updates after iOS updates.

Seems Apple hasn’t updated these anywhere but the web version.

Anyone find Books versions elsewhere ?

I suspect they're being held back a couple of days to account for the new phones and watch models.

Suspect it could be constraints from the new sales.

I have the same question as well. It not a question of purchasing a book when I used to get for free, I would even be will to pay for it. The Apple Guides are very complete, updated as the year goes by and the index is a blessing when searching for something.

It’s been several months now since the last Books app files were created for an Apple OS or device update. Soon after an update was released I would go to https://support.apple.com/manuals to get the file updates.

It appears that Apple decided to stop producing user guide updates for the Books app, but without a public announcement. I will miss the ability to highlight and index sections within user guides. It was incredibly handy and Acrobat files don’t handle that function nearly as well.

In searching Apple support for the same information I came to the same conclusion. However I did find newer iOS, iPadOS, and macOS guides along with product guides as well at the links below. Where as an old fashion index is not part of what Apple has created there is an extensive table of contents with hyper links. Since they are web based Apple seems to update them faster than the old guide each time there is an update posted

Sad to see all the uniqueness and effort/little things being slowly done away with at Apple. No special 40-year recognition for the Mac's birthday on 1/24/2024, guides being taken away, just all the little things being eliminated.

It's like Apple wants its uniqueness to be done with.
