On top of that, new version of software is more bloated and thus require more horsepower to run. Not saying this pushes any sort of “planned obsolescence”, but weaker device simply can’t run more recent software. Not to mention altering operating system could break other software.My battery died and Apple forced IOS 11 on me disabling half of my apps, and then they had the nerve to CHARGE me FULL PRICE for the new battery too! YES, Apple installed IOS 11 on my iPhone. I never did. They did not return the device in the manner that I sent it into them damaged. I sent it to them with IOS 10 on it and everything working except the battery.
