If we can get any identification for the exploits (the number, the name) we can compare between the exploits 14.4.2 patched and the ones 14.5.1 patches. We compare and if they are the same IDs, it’s the same patch. If they differ, that means the exploits are present in 14.4.2
The fixes in 14.5.1 are not in 14.4.2, but you also cannot easily determine whether or not 14.4.2 is affected by those particular exploits. Given that 14.5 already fixed things in WebKit that were under active exploit in 14.4.2, it's imprudent to stay with anything older than 14.5.1.

This is another thing that should be dragged to court, OS downgrade limitations.
Huh?

To what benefit other than to circumvent security, bug fixes and thrawt Apple? When your device under warranty or not is jailbroken due to OS downgrades and needs a repair do you actually expect to be serviced when the clause doesn't allow for that?

Yeah, if iOS 14.5 hadn’t introduced so many new bugs such as audio stuttering or device overheating, it would be a no brainer to update. We’ll see if iOS is polished enough again for iOS 14.6 or iOS 14.7

Unfortunately in their mad rush to piss off Mark Zuckerberg, 14.5 destroyed functionality in some apps I have to use for work on a daily basis. The app developers say they were never given any of the beta versions, nor even a changelog of what was coming to validate their apps against 14.5. and ADP isn't a small company

14.5 was in beta for nearly 90 days. That 3rd party developers didn't find it important enough to try even one beta in that time says more about the 3rd party company than it does Apple.
