if I buy the iPhone at the apple store, and I am an authorized user (I'm not the account holder), will I have any issues? This is assuming that the ATT store is sold out, because I will try there first.

bumb.... I am wondering the same thing. Anyone heard for certain? People on Apple forums were claiming that Apple would have information about authorized users.

i was reading that all that the apple store reps are going to do is point you to an imac, and you need to register it. Maybe the apple reps won't technically be touching the accounts. when i called att, they stated that as long as i was an authorized user, all i needed was an id and the last four of the account holder's ssn. hopefully, someone else will chime in with more concrete info.

i called apple and att and they said they dont know, but to be safe go to AT&T. However if you are able to you should bring the account holder and your own SSN so that your safe. Also dont forget that ID. After much internal struggle I decided if I want to definitely come out of line with an iPhone I'm going to have to go to AT&T. if Apple gives out tshirts im going to be very frustrated.
