I found a setting that enables Dark Mode while in Dark Mode. It's the coolest jet black screen I've ever seen!

Ya, me too, but if you are the company pushing for users to use something "better", wouldn't it make more sense to prove it ? That is, update your own app(s) as fast as possible before 3rd party ones do?

I like what Apple does with Dark Mode, but i think their a bit slow on the up-take rate.

Q: Is there any way to change the Apple ID you use inside the app, to NOT be your iCloud one??

Like millions of other users, I use separate iCloud and Store Apple ID's (thanks to legacy that Apple refuse to even acknowledge, never mind address!)

This now completely screws-up being able to use the sodding thing on any of my iOS devices! No really Apple, this is the stupidest forced decision yet, you've really outdone yourselves with how much you can infuriate customers, yet further?!?
This is a ludicrous decision. If they actually fixed the root problem of allowing merges or account migrations it wouldn’t be an issue. I’d have happily moved to a single account, but they don’t offer it and now the Apple Store app is entirely useless to many of us 🤬

Here we are a MONTH later, and no one at Apple seems to have even noticed the issue, let alone fix it. Clearly they do not give a toss. Quelle surprise.

I’m amazed this issue hasn’t got more coverage. Surely there must be many of us in the same position!

What's the best place to report this to Apple?
 
The only place I could attempt to report this was inside the Apple Store iOS app, itself!
(your name round symbol (top right corner) > Give Feedback > Take a quick survey)

I wrote:

"Apple Store" iOS app: cannot login with an alternative Apple ID – you are FORCING the use of our iCloud Apple ID, when millions of users have a separate Apple ID for hardware purchases!

Copy and paste if desired. I bet we hear nothing.🙄

NOTE: getsupport.apple.com is a failure – there is literally nowhere on there to report it; all routes lead to "not our department" responses, bullcrap. 😡
