I was about to write the same thing. The first time I looked at it, I thought it was a padlock. Second time looked like a Mac mini with a disc coming out. Doesn't look much like a shopping bag to me, but I shop mostly online, so maybe that's how they look these days!

At this point, the ideal Apple Store app icon would just be a small picture of apple.com/store shot a few inches from a screen, pixilation and defocusing included.

The app seems to have lost its ability to share items with others. If anyone finds out how to do it, please let me know.

I really wish Apple would realize how much credibility they're losing by selling Beats by Dre alongside other Apple products. Anything they'll ever say about engineering, quality, superiority, materials, etc...all goes out the window. They're peddling overpriced plastic garbage. Unlike other products, there are way better headphones alternatives at the same price.

They are losing nothing at all. Actually, they are gaining appeal to younger generations that love beats. Overpriced plastic is one of Apple's specialties. Iphone 5C. EarPods. Earbuds. Plastic macbook. Plastic chargers. Etc etc. Apple and beats are the same kind of company, Marketing.

How about fixing iTunes?
They make it as difficult as possible to buy a song. After clicking around trying to figure out how to buy one if you're lucky you'll click directly on the price of the song and that lets you buy it.
It's idiotic and completely unintuitive, the opposite of what Apple is supposed to be. They even took away the ability to buy all songs in your wish list at once.
How much you want to bet that this is the reason iTunes sales have gone down.

Don't make people fish around when you're trying to sell something-make it as easy as possible

It really isn't that complicated.

You press the price, then you press 'buy'.

Same way you buy an app, and I don't see the App Store suffering in sales.

I've looked around the app, but it looks like there are no more free offerings of iOS apps available for download through the app.

Anyone find it?

 :(

I too wonder about that. I didn't notice anything throughout the app (for US)

nice new look and App Icon.

Options available

Biggest change for me is that the new app works like the web store: you can change the configuration of products once you hit BUY. The options are the same as the web store, as far as I can tell.

First time I have seen ANY options for the iPhone or iPad store app. And the product isn't set until you hit Add to Cart. Although that isn't working very well when I tried it.

Improved navigation?

Juli,

I know your remit at the site is to function like Pravda did in the old Soviet days, hopping up and down like spirited bunnies whenever a new Five Year Plan is announced.

But having just bought an Airport Extreme, and having needed to spend more than 30 seconds trying to find where the *** it was on the store, I can assure you navigation has not been improved.

In the end, I got it at Amazon for less, anyway!

They've always sold Beats in the Apple Store... I'm sure it does well, which is why they teamed up.

Why don't Apple just update, and push out an update to the app store app overwrite the original ?

That's how it works with any other non-Apple app. The same should apply here too.

Its free anyway, it's not like u paid for it.

Isn't that what happened here?

No, my point is, the user must download this from the app store manually... It should be listed under the "Update" section. like any other app-update would be.

Because it is, after all, *an app update...*

Mine was listed in the update section as an other update to an app was/is.
