So excited to pay an extra $1000 dollars for my next macbook pro so I can get "free" Ai features such as this in my everyday life.
I remember the old days when you selected a configuration or color combination and site simply reported that it was out of stock. So much harder back then.if it can help answer question like if a specific config/color combo (eg watch or iPhone/case) is in stock, it might be helpful, and even more so if it offers discounts... wait, it's the Apple Store app...
Well it get me in right after iPhone 18 Pro Max goes on sale? Will it guarantee I get the model I want delivered on launch day?I usually know exactly what I'm looking for when I go to the app, but I hope this helps somebody.
Or simply make the app user experience better; they have had years now to do so and inexcusible for a company who has an App Store to help users and developers unlock the most of their mobile devices, to not have a more organized and logical approach and interface.Honestly, this seems like a great use for LLM inference and is probably a dataset small enough to run on device.
People have been complaining for years about how the App Store search is useless and ineffective. Finding apps in the current App Store is a horrible user experience right now. A local LLM sitting in front of the entire corpus of available Apps and all the app metadata sounds like a really great approach for providing personalized app recommendations.
I have been using Apple music for 17 years I think. I live in France but my tastes are largely Blues and Rock. I think I have maybe half a dozen individual French tracks in my library of several thousand tracks
So someone please tell me why all the Apple recommendations are for French rap? It has zero idea about my taste and it's just a waste of time
Why does Audible recommend books that are already in my library?
I wouldn't mind so much if these things actually did a good job but they don't
It's like when you you've bought something and all the adverts for ages after are for the thing you've just bought.
Like you might just want another sofa or a set of garden furniture right away now you have got a taste for it. Like you want to start a collection or museum or something. So much money wasted by these people.
We've just had the world cup. Did you people have exactly the same ads every break like over here? Exactly the same things hundreds of times till you want to scream and swear you'll never buy anything from them again. Why don't they get it?
Also with AI you will have to wade through at least three paragraphs telling you about how to charge safely not under pillows or blankets, always uses an Apple certified charger, make sure the cables aren't frayed and never try to suck them- or whatever other nanny rubbish they have to say to cover themselves.
I'm actually getting quite jaded about AI.
Whelp that response would be better than anything Siri has to offer lolMe: What macbook do you recommend if i use email and browsing?
AI: Get the Macbook Pro M5 Max. It improves productivity by 3 times compared to M1 Max and it only cost $6000. The M5 Max is our top performer so browsing feels much snappier.
Don't think so. The problem here is how Apple prioritizes and I don't see them changing that.Honestly, this seems like a great use for LLM inference and is probably a dataset small enough to run on device.
