Apple Store App Offers Free Redeem Codes for 'Obscura 2' Camera App

"Error, We're sorry. We're having trouble processing your request. Please try again later"

UK, when it tries to take you to app store from apple store.

"Error. We're sorry. Due to high demand, this offer is not available anymore. Please check the apple store app often for new promotions."

guess its over. (im in the US)

edit: or not. just tried it again and it worked. shrug.

I have that message on every try on 2 devices... shrug.

It’s just not working. Tried on two iOS 12 devices and one iOS 11 device. Fails during handoff to App Store.
The App Store itself on iOS 12 has been shakey throughout anyway.

You can customize the volume controls to lock exposure/focus aswell as take a picture. That's pretty cool.

Redeems have been working again for awhile now BTW. I got an already used code the first time around, but it was fine the next time I tried.

Eh. Pretty basic app with garbage filters. Downloaded the free version and already deleted it. Seems like a good app for people who like Instagram filters, but that’s it. Not worth the asking price at all. Plenty of more robust apps for free or $1.
Well, since the asking price is zero (today) it’s hard to say it’s not worth that. :)

Oh, the question of "free" always equalling "good". Not really. Crap is crap, whether a company gives it to you for free or otherwise.
(obviously many companies give away apparent "free" stuff all the time that's utter rubbish, in the hope they can suck you into paying for the "worth paying for" decent stuff later. Marketing technique 101.)

The same question was raised repeatedly when Apple did the free xmas gifts apps/media a few years ago, when some people seemed to think everything was wonderful, simply because it was "free" from a company (in this case Apple), and was largely "old" stuff that wasn't selling anyway.

Good always being in the eye of the beholder, of course. Something one person thinks is worth having, many others think is trash.

Of course, a friend/colleague/family member giving you a "free" item should obviously typically be taken in good faith, as a goodwill gesture (unless it's a turd in a box or other literally 'shìte' item, lol!), but not always stuff from companies.
