2 different people and 4 protectors later and still there is dust under the screen. I give up. Love the Xs though!

I'm on the IUP program, no more protectors for me, but I do keep the phone in a Fitbag microfiber / leather sleeve.

I’m on the iPhone upgrade program. Do you think I should not bother with one?

I used to get a screen protector but now that they cannot go all the way to the edge, it looks tacky in my opinion and I never use one anymore. Had my iPhone X for almost a year and it does have some micro scratches near the top that you cannot see but only in certain light. Doesn't bother me anymore since I'm trading it in.

Screen protectors are unnecessary anyway - I've never used one on any iPhone.
I don't usually use them either. The only time I have used one in the past four years was when I had to use AC+ to fix a cracked iPhone screen. After that I forced myself to put a screen protector on for the rest of my ownership of the device.

Disagree with OP, though. Apple Store Domain Northside did a good job with my screen protector.

Recommend Sparin glass screen protectors (Amazon) better than Spigen that I used. They come with an installation tray that fits over the iPhone and has perfect cutout to drop the protector on the phone.

If you're on AUP, I wouldn't bother with screen protector unless you hit the beach a lot. The sand can easily scratch the screen.

I just installed a screen protector on my phone... and I have a tiny bit of dust on the screen, but otherwise it looks good. So, I keep it on for now and if it really annoys me I might try my luck at my local apple store...Don't they keep putting on screen protectors till you are satisfied? or did they change that process?

I am never good at installing them myself. I had a two pack of tempered screen protectors for my Max. And with both tries I ended up with dust under the screen. So frustrating. lol!

I have a spigen glass set on order. Comes with the alignment tray. Key is, though, spending a LOT of time with a lint free cloth and maybe even compressed air making sure every little spec of dust is cleaned off.

I installed one of those on both mine and my wife’s new XS. Worked like a charm. Perfect alignment.
