Apple store canada - shipping from China??

    Just ordered MB from apple store in Canada and received tracking number by Fedex from china? Happened for some one? :confused:

    It looks like they're shipping the notebooks directly from China for now. My BTO MBP shipped from China so it is not unusual.

    I ordered my basic mbp a couple hours after the keynote and it still shipped from China-even with next day air it just got into Alaska

    That's where they make them. Where do you think the actual Apple stores in Canada get them?

    They ship most stuff straight from the factory. :)

    Well....

    I thought where the the aluminum mine is (do you know where they are?)

    Read up on Bauxite. Australia has the most bauxite mined, followed by China in second, followed by Brazil. Of course much of aluminum these days is recycled.

    Yep - there's probably a little bit of Australia in every single new laptop.

    Feels pretty good actually.
