apple store down...any idea why?

I was thinking that, or Mac Pros or I thought people were talking about small things like updates to the airport express and airport extreme...

or maybe nothing at all?

My bet is regular maintenance, unless they are uploading items and then flip the switch when they are ready... Lately they have been doing maintenance on weekdays too, so it really could be a false flag.
