I'm unrealistically excited. Could be the time to pull the trigger on my new 13" mbp. Though more than likely its just maintenance.

I can't imagine they would just announce an update on Apple.com without some type of presentation or keynote for it.

It's so...un-Apple like. And Steve or no Steve, I just can't see them all of a sudden sticking an updated MBP or MB on the site with no fanfare.

Why not? If there's no design change, and it's just spec bumping units and tweaking some features, they've done that tons of times for various products

They didn't have a presentation for the 15" and 17" Macbook Pro's when the started using the i5 and i7 chips… ;-) This would be perfect cause I need a new laptop now! HAHA

could be !! maintenance sometimes is only a certain country store. this is all of the world. well know soon enough. either way, it's any time from now- mid march best bet. count down begins

Anyone have any idea how long the site is usually down for? I would like to stay up to see if there are any noteworthy updates, but I'm not trying to stay up til 4am.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_2_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8C148 Safari/6533.18.5)

Looks like they're all down, which is odd for any sort of maintenance. Would they not deal with the stores one by one?

I'm calling a white iPhone 4. MacBook wouldn't make any sense.

I stand corrected. Hopefully this is the case here, but i don't want to get my hopes up. In these cases, was it just the store that went down? Or the actual Mac section as well?
