Is this normal for Monday night/Tues. morning? Just noticed it here in U.S.

Ok, definitely down. Refreshed a few times to ensure what I was seeing was true. Could this be the end of the wait?

Routine maintenance is typically, but not always, done on Sunday or Wednesday mornings. As this is a Tuesday morning, it could be something other than routine maintenance. Time will tell.

How long does it usually stay down for? My first iMac purchase will be this upcoming update. Super excited.

----------

All stores are down since 30minutes. Probably just maintenance/preparation for tomorrow ... For product releases it's a bit early in the morning.

Makes sense. Just stumbled across it when I was getting ready for bed.

I think they're prepping the website for tomorrow. Wouldn't hold my breath for updated iMacs (I still think they'll morel likely come in October or later).

I wanted to say they were preparing the site for the new iPhone release on Wedesday when it dawned on me, the Iphone is only being announced on Wedneday, not actually released.

I'm about 90% sure it's routine maintenance, but if something were released, I might not be extremely surprised either .

Why would they prep the webpage for tomorrow? I would like to think they have a mirror running somewhere and they just swap the server?!

But then... I am not an expert :D

Well I'm no expert either but why was the store down when they introduced the chat system for some products? Could have done it the same way.

Maybe they're introducing chat support for other products as well so they're testing it? Who knows...

And store is back in my country, nothing new.

Yeps, down again ... I wonder if it's a cost for them to take it down for an hour or so : at the rate they get customers, they are going to lose purchases any time Apple Store is down

In the US, they just added a bunch of Mac Minis to the refurbished store, SKUs you rarely see like i7s, server variants, and i5 variants. This is unusual.

It's back up. False alarm.

Now that you mention it, does this mean new Minis and iMacs coming soon?
