It certainly has for the past 2 launches/preorders. IIRC, it was down until close to 1 am for the 4S.

I called Apple a little before 9pm PST (around the same time the Apple store went down), and got someone in iPhone sales named Cathy.. Funny part was she was a TOTAL Chatty Cathy.

In the 5 minute convo we had, I learned so much about her personal life.. Like where she lives (OR), that she used to live in WA (Renton), etc.


She told me she was almost positive that the contract-free iPhone 5s was NOT going to be available. FML.

and just as I got off the phone with her, the screen on my iPhone 4 that has been trippin for the last month, went black and I got the little white spinning pinwheel.. took about 5 minutes for the phone to reset itself. LOL

I need an Unlocked iPhone 5s tomorrow.. If they aren't available, I don't know what I'm going to do with myself.. not settling for a 5c, knowing I would end up returning it!

Ordered. Quick tip, force close apple store app turn off wifi, open apple store app and it should be up.
