Apple Store down?

I don't understand why everyone got so excited.

I thought everyone knew Saturday night/Sunday morning is downtime for the Apple Store's weekly maintenance.

Now, if it's down on a Monday night/Tuesday morning, then we have a reason to be excited.

i think it just went down for like one minute or so just right now.
i wonder when they do maintenance.

i don't know. it seems that every time that i have gone there, the site was up. except for one tuesday morning a few months ago when apple introduced something new.

[edit] BTW, does anyone know how long the online apple store keeps the little green new labels on there new products?

a LONG time. i've seen the button thing for like a million years for the 20gb iPod.

Actually, it does. It's part of their weekly server maintenance. I'd hate to think how bad things would be if they only performed maintenance once a month.
