I think it has happened before where the store goes down way before the event, then right after the event, the Apple Store is right back up...They have to test out all the new graphics, make sure no links are broken before they publish it to the world.
Something crazy will be announced in the next few hours, at least I hope..

Ya lately the store had gone down close to the event time but looking back on those events. None of the things mentioned were available that day. I am sure all of the ipods announced today will be available right away.
Can't wait, hoping that the iPhone 2.1 update is available today.
They must be able to test internally without having to drop the live store site...
Not going to happen, alas. A few more weeks, most likely.
It's down in Canada too. I'm also really hoping for a new macbook. I'm positive it isn't going to happen, but I can still hope. I have a toshiba right now, and it's really starting to die. The screen started turning on and off lastnight while I was trying to do homework. So I'm going to need a new laptop within a week or two *holds breath for macbook upgrade*
That's what I'm afraid of. Apple showing me something I never knew I wanted until they make it. Not that I regret any of my Apple purchases, but at some point I must resist (-;
I don't see anything they can do to make me buy. They can only do so much with the ipods.
As far as the Macbook. I hate aluminum cases with a passion. Personal choice.
I'm happy with my setup. They would really have to do something incredible and from what someone who works for them told me they aren't. Changes yes. Just not enough changes for me to sell my current setup. I will let some of you be the guinea pigs and work out the bugs.
