So I went to the Apple Store today because the spacebar on my macbookpro was sticky, though it still worked. When I brought it in, the Apple store employee pried it off and was not being carfull about it. basically he broke it. He said he would replace it for free. But, before he broke it, my spacebar key was not broken, just a little sticky. It was not a big enough deal that I was going to give up my computer for a week. Because the guy had to do repairs, he put it in under water damage. Next time they go to replace something in my computer, it will come up that there was water damage, right? Should I call Apple and complain that they were the ones who broke my spacebar, not the water damage, how would I go about doing that?

Thanks!

if there is water damage ... they are putting it on record for future repairs like logic board ... they are replacing the keyboard because he broke it ... even if he had not broke it ... they would still flag the water damage

Bingo! Think of it as a courtesy repair. You got lucky.
