Ha, love your tagline "Will never Pre Order with a Carrier again", Apple screwed me over big time, I wish I would have ordered from my carrier! I ordered from Apple because I thought going straight to the source was the best bet, not this time! It's just luck, you either get away with a good pre order experience or suffer a bad one.

True, but i did it with ATT for the 6+. pre ordered at 11:45pm PDT (15 min early) and still got it a week and a half late. I was pissed. i have ordered through Apple ever since and i have got a launch day phone every time...Not to mention in store pickup at 8am every time...

I don't know if I'd believe some random employee who hasn't even seen the stockroom. And its only Monday, don't apple stores usually receive launch day stock on Wednesday and Thursday?

From what I understand, instore pickups are already purchased. You would have to return it or exhange with another one. Sounds too difficult on the first day with people waiting on line for one.
