In the past, it seemed like a respectable and desirable career option (and I wouldn't mind having it on my résumé) but I feel like recently, the retail management has gone to pot. Why hire people who would better be used at companies like McDonald's and Taco Bell? The Apple Store downtown where I live has its share of good employees. But the feeling that you get when walking into the store is none too bright. It's the kinds of attitudes that stick in your mind. One of the reasons why I don't do much business in the store. What are Apple Stores like in your area?
