I was testing out some things and trying to figure out what I wanted to buy for school.

Fist off, you have to buy using education prices. Second, I've only found that it works to get the top of the line iMac.

The 24-inch : 3.06GHz iMac is $2099 with the edu price. To save the extra $40 or to get a $5 graphic card upgrade you have to select the 24-inch : 2.93GHz at the edu price, and upgrade all of the components to the specs of the 3.06GHz one. When you get to the graphics card you can choose out of the three. Since Apple changed the way they discount for edu, it comes out cheaper for the same thing.

I just noticed the same thing myself - can anybody who knows the technicalities please confirm that a 2.93 Ghz model with upgrades to a 3.06 processor, the ATI graphics card, a 1TB hard drive is exactly the same machine as the standard 3.06 model with ATI option?

Thanks in advance.
