I think Apple has lost its shine globally. The competition has caught up, and Apple seems to have been taking too much for granted. 🤷‍♂️

It does seem odd there is no store in the country when Apple has their European headquarters there. And as I just discovered when checking this, they actually build iMacs in Cork, apparently the only Apple self-operated manufacturing plant in the world.
Apple are only based there for dodgy tax reasons that the EU found out about & ended up costing Apple €13billion, so wasn't quite the saving that had hoped. Same reason Ireland managed to tempt Dell, HP and many other tech companies as well in the past. All very dodgy.

Hopefully a premium reseller will step in. Seems odd that apple is not in operation in Bristol. Last time I looked it was pretty big.

They have a place out 12 miles away @ Cribbs Causeway, parking is free and its outside the ULEZ (Ultra Low Emission Zone).

I used to go into the centre of Bristol quite often but the ULEZ charge of £9.00 per day + parking has put the kibosh on that.
