Apple recently announced that its retail store at the Bridge Street Town Centre in Huntsville, Alabama will be opening in a new location within the outdoor shopping complex on Saturday, August 31, at 10 a.m. local time.

As noted in Michael Steeber's weekly newsletter about Apple retail, the new store will be located just a few units down from Apple's existing store at Bridge Street Town Centre, next to Athleta. The new location will be significantly larger and have a more modern design compared to the original, which first opened its doors back in 2008.

This will be Apple's first new store opening around the world since the company opened its first store in Malaysia in late June.

“Southeastern US”? Huntsville isn’t a tiny obscure city, they have over 200k people and are one of the fastest growing cities in the US lol
All I know about the city is from the reality show love and Huntsville. My family is originally from Alabama and I used to spend every summer down there my sister even went to Alabama state university. Still all I know about this city is from the tv show lol

So is Oklahoma.

As is University of Kentucky.

Who is moving to Alabama? Honest question.

Huntsville has one of the highest percentages of PhDs of any city in the US. The Marshall Space Flight Center is there along with a ton of private space and propulsion research companies. A lot of science research there, in general, too. Tons of jobs available, and lots of people moving in.

I moved to Birmingham in 2014 for a pharamcy position and loved it. It's a blueberry in the tomato soup, as is Huntsville. The state has some amazing parks, swamps, trails, hiking, caving, wildlife, etc. I didn't care for the heat, though, and ended up moving north.

The Tucson store is being redone in a similar manner.

Eh, it's the 113th largest metropolitan area by population accrording to the 2020 census. Not exactly a large city. And yes, I have been before.

No knock on AL but Tallahassee sure deserves Apple Store. Quoting myself… Tallahassee FL population near 400k; 2 well known universities, state capital, and NO APPLE STORE.
