If I have an iPad mini 2 with a broken screen and a battery doesn't hold a charge, but I just want them to repair the battery ($99 as per Apple), will they swap out the whole iPad? Or will they just change the battery? I can live with the broken screen, but would be nice if they change out the whole unit and I get a free screen repair out of it.

Due to the way the iPad screens are glued in place, as far as I know all iPad AppleCare claims are just device swaps. They do no in store repairs for iPad.

Interesting. Thanks. Then why would anyone pay $199 for a screen repair when they can just pay $99 for a battery repair and get the screen repaired to boot?
