I love when they do this. There's nothing that boosts your confidence quite like realizing that your livelihood depends on the products of a company that can't make a few changes to its web site without hours of down time.
Why do you think this is?
Why do you think this is? Obsessive quality-control / checking? Or poor back-end systems? Or not enough elves? 😉 Maybe it is partly theatrical? ("Treat 'em mean, keep 'em keen".)
I can tell you there will definitely be new MacBooks or MacBook Pros when the store comes back up. How do I know this??? Well I just bought a new MBP over the weekend and that's the way all happens when I buy a new Mac 😀
I wish it would hurry up. I need it go to bed.
I suppose that could be one motivator, but Apple haven't shown a lot of coordination there either. A few months ago there was one new product that showed up in (I think it was Finland?) and then rather messily worked its way through the other stores with broken links along the way. when they do use the sticky-note page, the stores all return in a strange staggered order with haphazard timing. It's a mess no matter what their excuse is.This also gives apple a chance to synchronize the time all the sites come back online.
I think apple gives you a replacement if a new revision is released in 14 days of your purchase.

Or a 24" MBP 😀The update will include all of these and possibly the ultra portable?
