I need to take my phone in to apple to replace---if I just take it jailbroken but delete most of the tweaks they could obviously see and let them see serial number ect....can the Tell if JB just from that..?

Then when ready to replace I just hit the erase all contents and settings!!

If it's going to be replaced anyway, why not save yourself the potential headache and just restore it beforehand.

Well I took a chance and went--He went on to a website on my phone and it sent diag info to his ipad, I was thinking Oh boy lol! So it all came back good to go. Then he took iphone apart to try and fix my issue (which was when u touch screen it would make a popping noise like it was delaminating)
No dice there so he came out with New IP5--good to go. So it seems apple has no way to know if JB unless they SEE something on it weird! :D

I would think "seeing" a Cydia icon would be a dead giveaway.

Several Apple techs have handled my jailbroken iPhones and none of them ever gave me even a mention of it being jailbroken.

IMHO, this issue is way overblown by most.
