Now if only someone could bring Bill Gates ...MacsRgr8 said:Gr8 idea!
We could make a hell of a fire by burning the install manuals too! 😉

😱
Yeah - I always thought Friday, If you want a lucky bag. From what the guy says on ifoAppleStore... 🙂
Thoughts?

I was thinking we could get around 80 people to chip in £1 each, and then buy a copy of microsoft windows xp. then, at night, to keep us warm, we could put it in a bin, light it and then sit around it - perfect, using MS windoze as a camp fire 😀
of course, then i realised some people might not want to waste £1, and also I think it might be a criminal offence to light a campfire in the middle of the street 🙁 🙁
Oh well, would've been cool/funny!

The real reason I think we're all going is the free t-shirt - come on!!! 😀
Seriously though, it's pretty amazing - having been an frenzied advocate since having a Mac Plus (and Qisk) [Hypercard!!!] in 1988, it's been like supporting a soccer team only you and a few others know play the best football, and who never get anywhere in the UK at least.
Now it's like the team have got into the Champions League, and we're on the way to the final...
Actually, the stores are in separate locations: Tokyo and Osaka.dontmatter said:two tokyo area
AmigoMac said:Yes, sure, but not before the big apple store in Köln, hey Düsseldorf would be far better but I can drive 10 more minutes
displaced said:I'll be there 🙂 Reckoning on 7am-ish Saturday. I'm gonna keep the £250 available anyway -- if I don't get a Lucky Bag, I'll have to treat myself to something instead.
See everyone there! I'm gonna be the one jealously looking at people wheeling away their brand-spanking-new iBooks, PowerBooks, iMacs, eMacs and PowerMacs.
So... with £250, I wonder what to get... iPod mini? iSight? Bluetooth keyboard + mouse? Airport Extreme? Life-size cardboard cut-outs of Steve Jobs, Phil Schiller and Nancy Heinen? Dolls of Schiller which shout "EXTREME!" when you pull the string?
Choices, choices...

johnnyjibbs said:EDIT: Any word on Apple store employees bringing round breakfast muffins for early goers? Maybe I should just go and take that 5am train...
asif786 said:Ok,
I dont know when I want to get there now 🙁 I could get the train at like 5am or whenever they start running (central line?) and get there for 5.45 - but I was initially intending on camping overnight.
I reckon it would be cool - if we try and get a MR gathering there on friday night, we can get a great discussion going on, light our fire, should be cool. I cant see any trouble happening if there's a group of us together.
Of course, there's bound to be some drunk people walking around on a friday night, but hey, who cares!
re: the fire - imagine if it got out of control and set the apple store on fire! lol, we'd be ousted from the mac community! 😱
