Hey guys,

I was planning on upgrading my Mac Mini to a gig of RAM... and I don't want to do it myself. There is a local authorized servicer that will install it for $60 labor.

I have the option of going to an Apple Store, but I'm only going to be in the vicinity of the Apple Store for a weekend (i.e. I'd be able to drop it off Saturday afternoon and I'd have to have it back by Sunday afternoon).

I was wondering how long it takes for an Apple Store to upgrade the RAM on a Mini (if I bring it in myself) and how much it'd cost. Should I just stick with the local option?

Thanks!

In general, the Apple store will not install third party RAM.
Look for another independent dealer -- $60 is robbery. It is a 15 minute job - $30 would be more like it. The highest I have seen here is CAN$45
