That was kind of annoying. I am looking at a 13 inch and was nearby the store so I decided to check it out.

I noticed every single one of the 6 display models they had were the i7 version. I asked about the i5 and was told by the rep that there is simply nothing they can do because they would have to open up a new box for me to try out the actual computer I would be getting.

Good thing Apple has a good return policy :)

True enough. Though you shouldn't have a problem with the i5 in the 13-inch. It runs fast.
 
That's weird my apple store only had i5s and so I couldn't feel if they were hotter than usual.. :(
I am waiting for my i7 -- should be here anytime this week.
