I personnally hate when people try to sell me things when I'm browsing in a store. I'd rather just go and pick out what I want and for big purchases like a computer, just buy online.

You want the ultimate in customer service? Go to England, boy, those Brits don't know a thing about customer service (sorry mates, it's true).

And I still stand by my opinion that the OP is whining about the service due to the way they were dressed. Again, it's all in your head.
Maybe there was a hot chick in the store and by default you were ignored.
Maybe they were in the middle of something.
Maybe they were watching a group of teenagers.
Maybe they're all lizard people.

Who knows, who cares.

Personally, I have a strong dislike for salespeople in most any store. They usually know very litttle or nothing about the products that they're selling. Last week I purchased an iMac and both of the Apple employees i talked to spent about 15 minutes talking about AppleCare and .mac, but couldn't answer my questions about external display compatability from the iMac to my 20" ACD or questions about A2dp in leopard, or multiple computer syncing of my iPhone. It seems like all they are taught is how to sell .mac and Applecare. I have to say though that Bestbuy isn't any better. I just bought a cheap HP laptop from them, and the salesman kept harrassing me to buy an extended warranty and some geeksquad BSh*'t vista software cleanup. I 'm 24 and broke, so i look broke when i walk in to stores. I don't mind not getting service, I know what I want. I don't mind if a salesperson does not come to me and asks me if i need help. I usually only expect "service" in restaurants or small mom and pop shops, but not at Sam's Club, BestBuy or any other of the big box stores.
