Apple Store phone replacement question

If I have a phone that has physical damage (small crack in screen), does that eliminate me from getting a phone replaced because of internal issues?

The crack happened over 6 months ago, phone worked perfect until 2-3 days ago. (Wifi isnt working)

Please advise. Thanks

Its down to the Apple genius and the Manager of the day.

If they assess that the external damage resulted from a drop they could say thats why the internal issues exist.
