Hi All,

I have a reservation to pick up my iPhone tomorrow at 4pm. Is it ok if I am late? How strict are they on the pickup time?

You should be fine. They're only sorta strict on launch weekend & then only for early.

In-Store
Pick up your online order. You may be able to get setup help and shop for accessories.
Get up and running with Personal Setup. We’ll email you an invitation to join online, one-on-one sessions with a Specialist for guided help with data transfer, new features, and personalized tips
Wait times may vary.
You will be given an estimated wait time when you check in. This time may vary based on Specialist availability.

For best service, please arrive during your reserved time or you may experience a delay picking up your order. Your order will be held for 7 days.

It means that you are not supposed to pick-up your item before your scheduled arrival. You probably can, but . . .

. . . each Store has a ST of stock . . . scheduling and appointments are all about the 'Experience' ;)

Does this mean I can’t pick it up earlier than 4pm?
No, you can actually pick it up earlier than 4 pm. My friend ordered one and even though we choose 5 pm, we went there at 3 pm as soon as he got a ready for pick up email. It really depends on how busy the store is and during the launch weekend, yes they will want you show up in your time slot, but after that you can go in at anytime.

I've done this multiple times where I would choose a later time but always pick it up during my lunch hour without any issues.

in my experience - they're only sorta strict on launch weekend & then only for early.

so you should be fine - so long as you got the 'ready for pickup' email.

congrats on the new phone, and let the class know how the process went.

i picked up on launch day and, whilst organised, there was no "experience". i was merely a number. once i got to a rep, they started the test on the phone, then gave me the box and shooed me away for the next customer. maybe now that things have subsided, you may get the "experience". :)

I literally just want to pick it up and set it up and home tomorrow when my new case comes in and then I can switch to Mint lol.

Tell them that when you turn up with the pickup email / QR code & you'll be in & out quickly.

https://www.apple.com/shop/help/iphone (although the text is from the current Buy page - reflecting Boost financing).

Will you get an unlocked iPhone?

When you purchase an iPhone at Apple, you’ll receive an unlocked model that you can use with any carrier. There are two exceptions: If you buy an iPhone through an AT&T Installment Plan, you will receive a locked model. If you buy an iPhone through Boost Mobile Financing, it will be locked for the first 60 days after activation.

Not a big deal, if you're ealier than the stated time slot, great possibility is they will give you your iPhone at the time you arrive if the store is not extremely busy.
If you're later than the time slot, they will give it to you immediately.
