Would anybody be kind enough to throw some light for the timeline of each stage of the shipment? It seems it will be a touch and go for me as I have a flight to catch on the 8th of October and my estimated delivery still shows - Processing October 14-21st. Don't know whether to cancel or stick with the order.

Here's the timeline as far as I can tell (from this thread and others):

Time between "Preparing for Shipment" and "Shipped": 12 - 24 hours

Time between "Shipped" and UPS Tracking assigned: around 12 hours

Shipping Transit Time: about 6 - 7 days

For me, these numbers were right on as predicted/calculated in other threads on the MR forums: from "Preparing" to "Shipping" was about 12-14 hours, and by the time I woke up the next day, I had a tracking number from UPS. It took UPS another 8-10 hours to update my tracking and show that it's in their system, and then it was another 2 - 3 hours before it gave me an estimated date of arrival.

My phone had it's origin scan yesterday (the 25th) in ZhengZhou, and UPS is saying it will arrive on Wednesday, October 1st -- right on target (and two weeks earlier than expected!).

Once it gets moving, the process seems to go pretty quick. You will most likely have your phone before you leave on the 8th, so unless you don't get a change in status before the 30th, I wouldn't cancel it. If it looks like the timeline will be too tight, you can always join UPS MyChoice (assuming it's being shipped via UPS like most are) and set up an address to deliver to instead of the original one you gave when you placed your order; this way, your phone can either find you on the road, or be waiting with a friend once you get home. :)

Thanks a lot. That is really helpful

I ordered a 64g Gold 6 Plus (T-Mobile) on Sept 15. Status is still processing, for delivery Oct 14-21.
To those who had the same delivery estimate but had their phones ship already, was anyone's the T-Mobile version?

Posted earlier in this thread...

Mine 6 Plus 64G Gold T-Mobile ordered 9/13 around 11pm PST. Still no update since order date.

Mine is from the Canadian Apple Store. Ordered on September 12th at 2:30am, scheduled for delivery on Oct 16-21. No updates thus far.

Ordered mine with October 13-26 shipping date and received notice today that it is being shipped. No UPS tracking number yet, but it shows that it was scanned in China on 9/25

It seems like they are still shipping 6 Plus phones ordered on 9/12. I don't think anyone who ordered one in the US after that date has received a shipping notice. But, hopefully they soon get past the 9/12 order date and start processing orders placed after that.

T-Mobile 64gb Space Gray 6 Plus ordered on 9/14

Just for the record orders placed on 9/21 haven't shipped yet, they're still stuck in China.

Ordered on the morning of September 19, AT&T iPhone 6 Plus 128GB gold, estimated ship date is Oct 20 - 27.

China will be closed for National Holidays from Oct 1st to 7th. Hope apple's factory keep working during the holidays..................

T mobile iphones

I pre-order my iphone 6 plus silver 128gb contract free (T mobile) on the launch day, 9/12 around 4am. delivery date 10/13-20 still processing items at this time, what i have been told is that on one hand, apple is delivering iphones under contract first (At&t, Verizon) and then the contract free version, secondly, there is almost impossible to get Iphone 6 plus (unlockec) or contract free, that is why pretty much all T mobile's version are still processing. So it is upsetting, since we are paying full price for the iphone 6 plus, but we have nothing to do but wait at this point

Damn....that's probably why we have these late dates. I don't remember the holiday being an issue in the past years, do you guys?

I could very well be wrong, but I would be AMAZED if all iPhone production shut down for a week right after they launched in a further 20 countries.

Stranger things have been know to happen, but I have to imagine they'll get paid to work through it.

preorder 9/15 Verizon 64 Gig 6+ preparing for shipment!

T-Mobile 64gb Space Gray 6 Plus ordered on 9/14

Verizon might be shipping sooner for some reason.

I ordered a 6 Plus 128GB, Space Grey on the morning of Sept 12. I originally got a delivery window of Oct 13-20. This morning I received notice from Apple that my phone had just shipped with their est'd delivery date of Oct 6. However upon checking the UPS tracking page I found that the delivery date had improved to Thursday, Oct. 2 by end of day. Quite an improvement over the initial Oct 13-20 timeframe. Hopefully this will be helpful for others who missed out on 'opening day' delivery.
