Apple Store reservation not fulfilled

    Thought it was too good to be true but managed to reserve a iphone 6 plus at midnight to collect this afternoon from Apple store Glasgow, UK. Got there this afternoon only to be told there was a mix up and they have allowed reservations at several stores but don't actually have the stock. No phone call or email to let me know so traveled in to busy town centre with a 19 month old in tow and got a half hearted apology and that was it. Spoke to manager who said he can't do anything and cannot offer any compensation to cover travel and parking costs. Offered me a iphone 6 but kind of set on getting the plus and have one ordered anyway but not due until mid October. Thankfully I didn't cancel that order yet.

    Anyone else had same problem today?

    Also where do you find email to complain? All the contact us links just go to online help or numbers to call for sales or support. Just want to send a good old fashioned email complaint!!

    Complain via phone and you might get a free case.

    **** happens. Especially during the tense independence voting period.

    Buy one when it's in stock. There are whole countries left out of launch. :)

    Tried phoning and in a queue for so long got fed up waiting :D

    Tell me how it goes i tried but they told me they will add the free cAse when my phone ships. Goodluck

    Yep. Cambridge store, 6+ 128GB reserved just after midnight.

    Waited in the reservation queue for 40 minutes, got into the shop, and then told there was a problem with their reservation system.

    No phone.

    Bummer.

    That sucks. I only waited a few mins before I found out there was a screw up. At least it does appear to have been an issue in other stores. I thought it may just have been glasgow store had sold the reserved ones to people who were there when they opened yesterday and were blaming system error. Still annoyed they didn't contact me.

    I reserved a 6 Plus at midnight here in Canada and was so paranoid that I was going to get there and either my reservation would be lost, or they wouldn't have got any in stock. All worked out for me and I got it, but that really sucks that they didn't have one for you. They should at least have offered to reserve the next 6 Plus that comes in stock for you to pick up.
