Apple Store Return Policy

I purchased a zCover on a whim less than a week ago since I needed a new keyboard cover for my uMBP. Turns out, it sucks compared to my iSkin that I had accidentally torn in half a while ago. Problem is, I purchased it at the Apple Store in Canada while I was there. I'm now back in California and don't have the luxury to fly back for a return/exchange. What are my options? Thanks in advance.

I am thinking Apple is not going to except it if it is physically damaged, unless you prove that it is a defect.
