Hi there - I’m hoping someone can confirm the return time frame from the watch.

If I picked up my order on September 22nd does that mean I can return the watch on October 6th? Or is it actually October 5th? Want to make sure my 14 days is counted as I think they should be counted and not 1 less for some reason?

It should say it right on your receipt.
To clarify, it’s 14 days from the day it was paid for.

07 Oct 2018 the item would not be eligible for a return without additional approval

Wow, maybe just take it back now if you don’t want to keep it, rather than renting it for two weeks. Just saying...
I have the model I actually want on order online, did the online trade in of my watch and don’t want to be with a watch for a month.

Oddly it doesn’t - neither does the online invoice - odd

Ahhh they changed it.
I’m looking at my email receipt compared to my store printed receipts. Just the store printed receipt had the return date.
But it’s 14 days from payment.

Same for apple care+. You can lose days of coverage due to shipping times, because AppleCare starts at payment. I will say this, calling apple to fix the coverage date to day of delivery (even if it’s a day or two) is easy
